In 1949, Edward F. DiPasquale founded the E.F. DiPasquale Company. E.F. DiPasquale Company has been owned and operated by the DiPasquale family and successfully served the Food Service, C-Store and Retail industries in Western Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Ohio for over 50 years.
In 2005, E.F. DiPasquale Company and Allegheny Valley Foodservice merged to become EFD Associates. Through hard work, outstanding service, and investing back into the business, we have continued to grow and service our customers and manufacturers. We are large enough to develop relationships in an expanded market, yet small enough to deliver value and profits as well as instill perspective and empathy.
We have grown consistently and substantially since 1949 proving that EFD has provided a good, dedicated sales agency and outstanding customer service to its various constituents within the food industry. We understand the fiduciary responsibility we have to our manufacturers as well as our employees to continue to evolve during the ever changing market. To this end, we will continue to maintain our experienced sales staff and offices so we can insure the needs of our customers, distributors, and manufacturers are achieved.

Capabilities / Specialties
Our full service test kitchen complete with “stadium seating” area for 32 and two 65” presentation televisions, creates the perfect environment for superior presentations, training and in-house demonstrations for our customers and distributors. We also have a conference room, seating for 8, with a 60” presentation television compatible for video conferencing.
As Pittsburgh’s largest independent foodservice brokerage with over 400 years combined sales expertise, we have the relationships at the operator and distributor as well as complete market knowledge to develop and grow sales.
It’s our people who really perform, from our knowledgeable and thorough customer service staff, to our street-support sales team. They are the reason we have continually earned top sales awards from our packers since the inception of our company.
